Bellyband across South America

Our trip over New Years pretty much crossed central Argentina with dips into Uruguay and ending up in Santiago, Chile.

I did this route because I didn't want to be flying south or north of Argentina and weaving all over just for the sake of ticking the POI boxes.

I prefer overland travel as I see more of the country and have the flexibility to linger or accelerate the ports of call.

Not another travel blog

Well, yes, actually. Not that I am proposing this will blow the socks off all the others out there, but it does capture the highlights of my various holiday and work trips, with a specific focus on the spots, corners and random morsels that I encounter outside of guidebooks. And because my memory is appalling, this also chronicles the location and prices of the hotels and restaurants I experienced so that I can tell friends and others as they plan their own trips.
